Field maintenance engineers of Nashuatec in the Benelux repair and maintain copiers and printers for service contracted customers at the customer's office. The engineers needed an instrument to effectively manage the inventory of spare parts and required tools. The PHL1300 was selected for its physical size and other convenient features:

• IrDA communication interface
• Choice for rechargeable (Li-Ion) or dry cell (AA) batteries
• 8 MB inventory memory

With the use of the PHL1300 on site stock mutations and serial numbers of printers or copiers are scanned. This on-site operating routine requires no unnecessary equipment, works fast, processes on-location and supplies increased accuracy.
